Stratigraphy: Jurassic intrusive rocks with ages of approximately 160.4 ± 0.3 million years before present.

Distribution: The Chek Lap Kok Granite forms a subcircular pluton centred on the airport at Chek Lap Kok.

Lithology: Equigranular fine-grained leucogranite.
