We are delighted that a study entitled "BIM Horizontal Harmonization for BIM/GIS Integration" (the Study) was awarded with the Merit Award of Project Category in the Hong Kong openBIM / openGIS Award 2022 organized by the Hong Kong Alliance of Built Asset & Environment Information Management Associations.
The study has demonstrated the successful integration between Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Geographic Information System (GIS) which will support the development of the Common Spatial Data Infrastructure with Open BIM and Open GIS Data. We believe the successful implementation of BIM harmonization, together with BIM and GIS integration with the open BIM data in IFC format and open GIS data in CityGML format, would contribute positively to the construction and geospatial industry for a wider adoption of 3D open data for their future business applications.
