“3S Tunnel Defect Inspector” invented in Trunk Road T2 and Cha Kwo Ling Tunnel project won the Certificate of Merit under the innovation sub-category of An Innovative Application (All Member Group) in “The HKIE Grand Award 2023".

"3S Tunnel Defect Inspector" of Trunk Road T2 and Cha Kwo Ling Tunnel Project has once again been recognised for its innovative application in intelligent tunnel inspection. Developed collaboratively by the Civil Engineering and Development Department, the Hyder-Meinhardt Joint Venture, and the Hong Kong Productivity Council, this cutting-edge system received a Certificate of Merit in the innovative sub-category of An Innovative Application (All Member Group) during ‘The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers Grand Award 2023'.

"The HKIE Grand Award 2023" is a new award aimed at recognizing the achievements and contributions of engineering professionals to the development of Hong Kong's infrastructure.
