CEDD Signed Contract for Fresh Water and Flushing Water Service Reservoirs Works for Fanling North New Development Area

The Civil Engineering and Development Department signed a contract of about HK$ 1,290 million on 23 August 2024 with Wo Hing - Tsun Yip Joint Venture for carrying out fresh water service reservoir, flushing water service reservoir and associated mainlaying works for Remaining Phase development of Fanling North New Development Area.
The works mainly include:-
- construction of a fresh water service reservoir, a flushing water service reservoir and associated site formation, geotechnical, roadworks, power supply, drainage and landscaping works;
- laying of about 5.7-kilometre-long fresh water mains and about 5.7-kilometre-long flushing water mains;
- installation of pumps and associated electrical and mechanical works within Shek Wu Hui Water Reclamation Plant constructed by the Water Supplies Department; and
- implementation of environmental mitigation measures for the works mentioned above.
The works commenced on 30 July 2024 and will take about 36 months to complete.
