Abstract

This Report examines aspects of the regional geological framework of Hong Kong as related to southeastern China. The broad stratigraphic and tectonic histories of the region are discussed, and a detailed review is made of the local stratigraphy and its relationship to the regional setting. The report concludes with a summary of current knowledge and provides suggestions for further investigation. The Report is essentially a review of published information available up to September 1983.
