Abstract

This report consists of two Special Project Reports on the use of pulverised fuel ash (PFA) in reclamation. They are presented in two separate sections in this Report. Their titles are as follows:

• Section 1: An Initial Assessment of the Use of PFA in Reclamation
• Section 2: A Review of the Use of PFA as Fill in Reclamation in Hong Kong

Section 1 discusses the feasibility of using PFA from Castle Peak Power Station as a reclamation material.

Section 2 discusses the use of PFA in reclamation especially in respect of filling underwater. It is the outcome of a review of information available in Hong Kong on the subject since 1984 and limited field and laboratory tests carried out in early 1992.
