CEDD Signed Contract for Site Formation and Infrastructure Works at Three Urban Squatter Areas, Kowloon East

The Civil Engineering and Development Department signed a contract of about HK$668 million on 26 March 2025 with Sang Hing - Tapbo JV for carrying out site formation and infrastructure works for public housing development at three urban squatter areas, Kowloon East.
The works mainly include:
- site clearance and formation, as well as construction of related retaining walls and slopes;
- construction of two carriageways with associated footpaths to connect (i) Ko Ling Road and Cha Kwo Ling Road, and (ii) Cha Kwo Ling Road and Fan Wa Street;
- construction of a new pedestrian link to connect the new link road mentioned in item (i) above to the public housing development at Cha Kwo Ling Village;
- associated road improvement works near three squatter areas; and
- associated ancillary works including drainage works, sewerage works, waterworks, land decontamination works and roadside greening works.
